I'm also a Hufflepuff Prefect and a Chaser for our Quiddtch team.
If I'm not on the pitch or with one of my crazy family members then I'm probably with the most amazing guy on the planet- Lysander x
“I don’t know, Rox…I have feelings for Liam and I can’t deny that. So no matter how hard it is to apologize and explain to Zooey, I still have to do it because she deserves that much.” she sighed exasperatedly. “She’s a decent person.” Jess said and put a let over her broom and flew up to the sky before yelling down at her small best friend, “Joining me?” and started flying with a passion, willing herself to just forget every thought that made her feel anything negative.
“You do Jess, I agree.” Roxanne nodded and sighed under her breath. “I want to meet her,” Roxy stated quietly, knowing that the only way she would end up meeting this girl was through Jess. “If someone’s going to try and take my girl away from me…” she trailed off and giggled as she joked, standing up and mounting her broom. Looking up at Jess before she took off, Roxy waved sarcastically, before flying high up into the air after her.
Jess let out a weary sigh. “I suppose you’re right…” she admitted reluctantly and tucked a stray strand behind her ear and stood up. “What do you say to a good distraction? I hate wallowing and I hate complaining so let’s just celebrate your newly found freedom and let’s have some fun. The word ‘fun’ after the week I have seems too foreign! Flying then?” she rambled on needing to get away from the confusing subjects…it wasn’t getting them anywhere, clearly. She just wanted to smile now.
“I might not be,” Roxanne looked at Jess pointedly, smiling weakly. “Just my opinion, love.” she murmured. “Jess,” Roxanne grabbed her best friend by the shoulders. “Stop rambling- it doesn’t suit you,” Roxanne let out a little laugh. “We can do whatever you want, lovely.” she shrugged and headed over towards the stands, dropping down her broom. “Flying, anything…you choose and soon you’ll forget all about this week.”
Jess looked up at Roxanne’s smiling face before hugging her back just as fiercely. “You’re a good friend, Weasley.” she smiled at the tan girl next to her. “I know it’ll probably work out but I…” she paused for a moment, trying to say the right words. “I don’t want to lead Zooey on because she is lovely and I got a feeling she has a tough life that I don’t know about and I want to get to know her…” she took a deep breath and smiled. “But Liam is such a sweetheart and I just feel so happy when I’m with him!” she grinned. “He went out on a date with Esme and its not working out because Es likes someone else?” she said unsure and it came out sounding like a question. “He found me wallowing in despair at the Astronomy Tower and we talked and h’s…confused and, somehow, I get it. And he wants me to be happy but I wouldn’t be being fair to Zo if I still have feelings for Liam, right? And I do have feelings for Liam.” she ranted on and on before letting the last bomb drop. “And Liam and I kissed…twice.” she admitted, blushing.
“Oh, I know, Warrington!” Roxanne waved her off and grinned, pulling back to look at her best friend. Roxanne just stared at Jess as the moments ticked slowly by as her best friend spoke. Turning away, Roxanne frowned and tried to understand all that Jess was saying. Turning back, she spoke slowly and calmly, “No, it wouldn’t be fair to lead anybody on. And as much as Liam makes you happy plus the fact you have feelings for him, he’s confused. And possibly seeing somebody else. Who likes somebody else.” Roxanne shook her head and frowned further, trying to clear her head of the confusion. “Just…talk to Zooey about this- if you already haven’t. And sort things out with Liam.” Roxanne almost commanded. “Because otherwise you can’t do anything. I won’t let you. This is already too much of a mess and it doesn’t need to go any further.”
“True, but mistakes that almost kill you? I felt shame to even be called a Ravenclaw that day,” he replied anxiously. When she hit him playfully, however, he finally let all the tension go and a mischievous grin to break over his face. “Like I said- I deserved that, so no apology needed… this time,” he said, flashing her what he intended to be a dangerous look, but knowing that it probably came off much more amusing than threatening.
“Uh huh- very logical. You sure you didn’t take some crazy potion or something around that time?” he asked, still teasing her wildly and enjoying the fact that they were joking around again. “But yeah, as far as I know they’ve made up completely… multiple times if my sources are correct,” he added with a smirk. “Also, Albus has apparently decided not to hex me half to death for what happened, so I’m pretty grateful for that… I’m just happy things are getting back to normal for the most part,” he added.
Lysander let his eyes drop to her hands and thought for a second. She was right, after all- he was positive he could go anywhere with Roxanne and be happy no matter what they did. Especially right now- he didn’t want to leave her side, and the idea of anyone interrupting their time together actually bothered him a little.
Therefore, he remembered a conversation they’d had months ago about a promised date, and he looked up at her excitedly. “Alright then- what do you say we get out of here for a night and you expose me to that Muggle movie you had told me about?” he asked
“No,” Roxanne told him firmly, bringing her hand up to softly rest against his cheek. “Don’t ever feel that way. Ever. You are a true Ravenclaw. You’re smart and crazy, you actually think logically, funny, handsome..” Roxy trailed off and looked down, knowing she had gone slightly off of the Ravenclaw traits- though everything she’d said was completely true. Roxanne snickered as she watched Lysander attempt to give her a dangerous look. Tapping his face gently, Roxy sighed in amusement. “Stick to smiling and being gorgeous, yeah?”
“I don’t need a crazy potion,” she winked at him and grinned cheekily, laughing at their antics. “Oh,” Roxanne screwed up her face as the realisation of Lysander’s words hit her. “That’s good,” Roxy murmured, nodding along in agreement with what he was saying. “So,” she started, looking up at him shyly. “This is our makeup…?” she spoke slowly and trailed off.
As Lysander’s face fell from view as he looked at their hands, Roxanne took time to study him. The way his blonde hair fell against his face. Everything from is face to how he sat. He truly was gorgeous and Roxanne couldn’t help the grin that appeared on her face as she thought about it all. Not just that but all the things she’d said before. They were true and there were so many more she could list off.
Snapping out of her thoughts as he looked up, she glanced at him curiously as his expression changes. “You remember that?” she asked surprised, slightly shocked that he had. “That sounds great- if you’re sure, that is. It may be funny but it’s still a chick flick.” she raised her eyebrows and grinned.
“You’re not an idiot, Ly.” Roxanne murmured, shaking her head. “It was just…an honest mistake. So I’m sorry for snapping at you.” Roxanne tried to calm herself inside. Everything that had happened was a mess but the worst bit for Roxanne had to be the poison. The very idea that somebody or something could hurt Lysander was enough to make her go crazy.
Roxanne’s eyes drifted upwards and she looked at him, letting out a little sigh as she nodded. She had nothing else to say, she didn’t know what to say and instead she softly placed her hands on his face, bringing it down and kissing him lightly. She hoped that the kiss would help him understand how she felt better than any words could.
Roxanne laughed and looked down as the craziness of her thoughts truly registered in her head. “I know, I know. But what else was I supposed to think?” she grinned up at him before murmuring. “You know, that doesn’t sound like too bad of an idea.”
Lysander narrowed his eyes a bit but let a bit of amusement infiltrate his voice. “No, I’m a bit of an idiot, Roxy- I drank booze from a random guy on the street. Not exactly my shining moment. So you deserved to snap at me… really, I wouldn’t have blamed you if you had decided to smack me or something instead.” He felt terrible to have worried her, and he still hadn’t shaken the feeling of guilt inside of himself even though she seemed to be accepting his apology.
The feel of her kiss on his lips caused him to forget all of the stress he was harboring for just a minute, and that feeling was wonderful. This was what a kiss was supposed to feel like- no love potions, no bullshit, no forced emotions. There was not only truth in it, there was forgiveness and appreciation- two things Lysander had been aching for nonstop over the past few days.
They laughed together for a minute, the ridiculousness rushing over them, before Lysander finally responded again. “I don’t know… you could think logically I suppose,” he smiled again, “Nick, who is clearly in love with Albus, running off with your suddenly super gay boyfriend? Makes total sense, baby.” Wrapping his other hand around hers, he nodded. “OK then, where to? I’ll take you anywhere your heart desires.”
Roxanne sighed and shook her head, looking straight at Lysander. “You are not an idiot. Everyone makes mistakes,” she shrugged lightly, glad to know that Lysander wasn’t too crazy. “Smack you?” Roxanne sat still for a second before swatting his arm. Letting out a heavy breath she looked at him apologetically. “Sorry,” she muttered. “But you did worry me.”
Once Roxanne had pulled back she felt all the worries she had leave her. Everything had seemed amazing, perfect, right when they had kissed- the most natural thing in the world to Roxanne.
Roxanne grinned and continued to laugh at her crazy thoughts. “Well, in my defense, it sounded perfectly logical at the time. Are he and Al okay after everything?” she asked tentatively, feeling bad that throughout this she had barely thought about her cousin. “Anywhere.” Roxanne told him truthfully, shrugging lightly. “Besides, it’s not where you go. It’s who you’re with.”
Well…thanks. One of the only things I have perfected. *rolls eyes* With my gorgeous cousins? It’s a wonder you even noticed me. And how are you going to do that, Mr Scamander?
I’d beg to differ on that statement- you’ve perfected your kissing skills as well, for starters. However, I hear that skill tends to disappear if it isn’t used often enough, so be sure you keep up your practice with me, OK? *grins* Gorgeous cousins? HA! They pale dramatically in comparison to you, Roxy.
How? Oh, never question my plans for spoiling you, Miss Weasley- you know I could never ruin surprises
Have I, now? It seems I’m perfecting quite a few things with all your help. Practice, huh? That doesn’t sound too hard. Especially if you’ll serve as my willing subject. *winks* Thank you, love. Just don’t let them hear you say that!
A surprise…? You truly are crazy.
